s e w : c h r i s t m a s y

Hello gang! I thought I would make a holiday post for you on this very merry Christmas eve! After romping around my closet for a bit, I decided to put alittle effort into fixing a christmas skirt my mom had sewn for me when I was a kid. Surprisingly it only needed a quick adjustment of snaps at the back, and voila! It fit like new :]

First off I had to take off the old snaps and sew them back a couple inches - it sounds simple right? (and it should have been) but for whatever reason, I kept sewing them on wrong and having to re do it!

Besides this mini sewing project, my winter break has been filled with some reading, cooking, and a few second hand finds! I started reading Dracula about a month ago, and I am on the last few pages as we speak. I love classic stories (maybe because it makes me feel nostalgic, or maybe its because there's a historical aspect thats to my liking) but whatever the reason, I've been reading it non stop over the winter break!

My two favorite find this winter are: a pair of siamese cat salt and pepper shakers, and a faux-mink scarf :] I can't seem to stop obsessing about them - I feel the need to tell everyone I meet about them haha. You may have also noticed that I got a hair cut! My wonderful hair stylist did a splendid job - I still can't stop looking in the mirror. It makes me feel sophisticated - if a haircut can truly do that ;]

So I suppose I will leave you with more promises for showing you my new years ever dress; but I promise you'll get a peek sometime soon.

well, ta ta for now and. . .

M E R R Y : C H R I S T M A S !!
